Philosophy Festival in Greece®
Journey to the birthplace of western philosophy through an innovative educational experience. Discover Athens, Delphi, Messene, and Epidaurus while engaging with philosophical thought through dialogue, theater, and immersive learning.
Our Mission
The mission is to combine the cultural value of a journey to the places where western Philosophy was born with the rediscover, during low-season periods, of areas of historical and archaeological importance, symbols of the Mediterranean culture. Every Spring, students from European countries join a transformative cultural experience through non-formal education in Athens, Delphi, Messene and Epidaurus.
Our Activities
Agòn
The multidisciplinary philosophical competition allows high school students to use their skills, talents and knowledge through an innovative experiential philosophical path, designed to excite and ignite minds.
Agorà
Teachers experience activities and workshops focused on care, positive relationships and empathy. Through guided dialogue and specific training courses, they discover new ways of interpreting student-teacher relationships.
Guided Tours
Students visit archaeological sites in Greece with expert guides, discovering millenary cultural heritage and physically experiencing the places where the first philosophers lived and taught.
Philosophical Dialogues
Created in a maieutic dimension, these dialogues realize philosophical didactics by concepts. Expert philosophers guide students through discovery-based learning in an empathetic environment.
Philosophical Theatrical Walks
The most intense moments of the Festival. Guided tours combined with theatrical performances allow students to meet philosophers 'live' and experience the fusion of text and theatrical language.
Philosophical Workshops
A "mental gymnasium" covering theater, sound, movement, visual expressions, photography, meditation, and radio. Based on Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory for holistic development.
