The Philosophical Day is a one-day experiential internship to discover the genius loci, a multisensory path alternating didactic moments on philosophical, historical, archaeological and architectural themes with maieutic theatrical performances.
The ancient Greeks knew well how important it was to educate polis’ citizens to their future role as defenders, promoters and ambassadors of the values and culture of their city. So, they organized theatrical performances aimed at all citizens, so that every single person could receive, through Art, an adequate education and at the same time could feel integrated into the community and protagonist of its events.
The “Philosophical Days” project of the Associazione Festival della Filosofia in Magna Graecia stems from the awareness that only from education, and from the rediscovery of values of one’s own culture, can a responsible citizenship be born and be actively engaged in the protection of the artistic and cultural heritage of one’s territory.
Inspired by a key theme, and enhancing the peculiarities of the territory, the Philosophical Day declines an experiential educational path, divided into multidisciplinary moments: the philosophical-theatrical walk, the philosophical dialogue and the worksops..
Each Philosophical Day validate 10 hours of PCTO (Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation).
